Ask if the company will accept paypal,escrow,or credit cards as a method of payment, if they are quick to shy away from accepting those payment methods you do have a reason to be skeptical, but I have purchased an electronic item from a company that I will list who was legitimate even though they only accepted western union and bank transfer as payment methods and was very satisfied with the delivery time as well as my purchase.

4. Ask all questions you may have, sometimes it helps to ask the same questions twice but in different order because scammers will trip themselves up often with different responses unless they have rehearsed really well.

5. Pretend you are visiting and request company information telling the spokesperson that you wish to purchase directly during your visit, are they quick to give you response or company info?

6. Tell them you are a major US Retailer looking for new wholesale fashion jewelry suppliers for several stores, chances are a legitimate company will want to work with you, a scammer will not want to work with you if they feel that you are not just an average unknown person with whom it will be easy to scam and you just go away, the scammers will feel that your business will draw too much attention, whatever you do please keep it professional you don't want even the legitimate companies thinking you're a nobody and your order is not as important as the next persons.
